Sean S

National Instructor
Sean is a 19-year veteran of a large police department in the Mid-South. For the past 15 years, he has been assigned to Special Operations as a full-time tactical unit member and a team leader/training coordinator for 12 years. Additionally, he serves his department as a public safety bomb technician and is a regional WMD response team member. Sean has over 3,000 hours of training in various law enforcement areas. During his career in Special Operations, Sean has conducted several successful hostage rescue missions and resolved many barricaded suspect incidents over 15 years. In 2014, Sean was awarded his department’s Medal of Valor for rescuing a teammate shot in a firefight during an operation. 2018 Sean was awarded his department’s Special Operations Officer of the Year. On many weapons platforms, Sean is a certified firearms instructor through the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National Rifle Association. Sean prides himself on instructing across the entire law enforcement prism while taking a pragmatic approach. He has taught basic building clearing classes for police academy recruits, various courses for patrol and narcotics officers, and has also instructed command staff on critical incident response/management.
