Chris Kuras with Good Dude Concepts
Chris Kuras has been a law enforcement officer since 2014. He is currently a full-time instructor in the Training Unit specializing in firearms and tactics. In 2016, Chris joined the SWAT Team and is currently a Team Leader, Sniper, and lead instructor.
Chris is the owner of Good Dude Concepts and Good Dude Consulting, providing innovative quality gear and training for military, first responders, and civilians. Prior to his career in law enforcement, Chris worked as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for University of Central Florida Athletics, coaching football, baseball, track, and other sports.
Carlos Gomez with Guild Solutions Group
Gomez began his career in 1998 by enlisting in the U.S. Navy. He was stationed on the USS Cushing (DD-985) in Japan, where he participated in multiple expeditions to the Middle East, including Operation Anaconda after 9/11. In 2002, he was honorably discharged and transferred to Homeland Security, where he remained until December 2003. In January 2004, he joined the Broward Sheriff’s Office. In 2005, he completed the agency's SWAT school and was selected for the team upon graduating. Within a short time, he was entrusted as one of the few main breachers. Once the required time had elapsed, he tried out for the Sniper team and passed. Serving for 13 years, he completed Basic Sniper, Urban Sniper, and Sniper Instructor and competed in the Top Sniper competition hosted by the U.S. Army in Fort Benning, GA. After his Sniper career, he became an entry and breach team leader. Gómez leads the team's armor and R&D, building relationships with industry-specific companies, both small and large, to advance the design, function, and availability of products that meet the needs of Law Enforcement Tactical Teams. Gómez has participated in 17 SWAT School courses as an Instructor, CADRE, Admin, and Role Player. He has privately trained regional SWAT teams in Basic and Advanced SWAT School, CQC, Advanced HR, Team Structure, Building a Culture, and Team Leader courses. He has received numerous team accolades and awards, including an individual Gold Cross for heroism. He remains active and operational on the Broward Sheriff's Office SWAT Team in South Florida.
