TRAINING PROGRAMS BREAKDOWN
Critical Response Solutions (CRS)
If you are looking for a tailored program to help your men and women reach a new level of understanding in high-pressure situations, this program is designed for you. Like all our programs, we remove the fluff and keep the parts that make a difference in saving or enhancing lives. This program is designed for Patrol, School Resource Officers, Investigations, or any First Responder who might need to gain access to a structure.
In this 18-hour program, we will introduce students to various forms of breaching with commercially and non-commercially available options. They will learn how to defeat both residential and commercial inward- and outward-opening doors. They will learn what true challenging targets are, then equip them with the skills to overcome reality-based obstacles. They will also be introduced to Situational Movement Concepts that show them how to respond in singleton or small cell actions. This goes beyond an academic level of understanding and is taught by subject-matter experts with decades of experience in high-stakes environments.
Strategic Kinetic Solutions (SKS)
Some of the highest-tempo elements in Law Enforcement include Narcotics, Regional Task Forces, Investigations, and other High Crime Suppression elements. Yet there has been little training that takes them from Probable Cause to Prosecution and covers the things in between, until Strategic Kinetic Solutions was created. One of our staple programs, designed by full-time Narcotic Agents and Special Operations Personnel, provides cutting-edge methodology in entry, manual access, movement, search warrant considerations, mission contingencies, and reality-based scenarios.
This 27-hour program will go in-depth to provide real skills in breaching, target identification, priorities, intents, and actions, unknown-risk vehicle interactions, high-risk vehicle interactions, and vehicle counter-ambush drills. We will delve into small-cell situational movement where deliberate and dynamic often collide. All the skills are fine, but unless you understand the restrictions and interactions among Law, Policy, and Ethical considerations, it doesn’t matter. This program is unlike anything offered in the Law Enforcement space, and we believe this is the standard for the units it was designed for.
First Responder Access & Safety Techniques (FAST)
We recognized the deficiency in gaining access to a structure for Patrol and School Resource Officers. If any breaching is provided, it’s generally at a low level with an understanding of the reason behind it. Even nationally recognized programs don’t fully explain how to access commercial and barricaded doors, until now.
In this 9-hour program, we will give students an introduction to tactical rams, halligans, pry tools, wedges, break-n-rakes, and even exigent options. This program was designed for full-time special operations personnel and seasoned firefighters who have worked in both deliberate and dynamic situations.
Our goal is to create thinkers who can analyze problems and develop real solutions when exigence arises. This is not another check-the-box program for Patrol and SROs; this gives them real skills to address real problems when real solutions are needed.
Applied Precision Exigencies (APEx)
There are many programs for snipers and designated marksmen, but the Guild felt that combining the backgrounds of a Special Mission Unit (1st SFOD-D) and nationally recognized competitive shooters into one program would bring the best of both worlds together. Not just another shooting program, but a dynamic program that focuses on 500m or less engagements in high-stakes environments.
This four-day or 35-hour program aims to bridge the gap between combat precision,
positional shooting, and hasty hides while staying within the boundaries of law, policy, and ethical considerations. This is not a basic foundational sniper program; rather, it focuses on positional strategies for urban and rural scenarios, tailored to elevate a baseline sniper to a higher level of expertise. The developmental program includes alternative positioning techniques, barrier shooting, simultaneous shots, addressing high-angle considerations, and other techniques commonly used in an operational capacity.
Situational Movement Solutions (SMS)
Traditionally referred to as CQB (Close Quarters Battle), we have purposely avoided that nomenclature for our program, as we believe the movements or actions prescribed for resolving a hostile encounter vary greatly depending on the situation and/or the space presented. We call our curriculum Situational Movement Solutions, and we focus on core concepts rather than absolutes. We seek to develop fluid thinkers who can rapidly adapt to tense, uncertain situations and environments. SMS is a Customizable Movement Program designed to cater to your agency’s specific requirements.
We offer a basic three-day (30-hour) and an in-depth four-day (45-hour) program, with the option to add a one-day shooting or breaching package to support areas on your Mission Essential Tasks List. Throughout the program, we’ll concentrate on Priorities, Intents, and Actions as the driving force behind our movement considerations. Our full-spectrum program will cover key considerations, including inner room movement, entries, exits, transitional spaces, and terrain. Effective communication is also integral to our training, with an emphasis on nonverbal techniques in both small- and large-cell deployments, and on adding clear, concise pro words as needed. We consider our program to be among the most cerebral in the training space, and we emphasize that it aligns with current law, policy, and ethics. The curriculum is presented in an unbiased manner following a linear progression to full validation scenarios. This is a mentally intensive course.
Situational Movement Solutions – Hostage Rescue (SMS-HR)
This fast-paced course is structured around the fundamental concepts of our Situational Movement Solutions curriculum but is tailored to responding to Hostage-Focused and Active Killer Events. We believe that the movements or actions prescribed to resolve a hostile encounter vary greatly depending upon the situation and/or the space presented to us. As always, we focus on core concepts rather than absolutes, and we seek to develop fluid thinkers who can adapt rapidly to tense and uncertain situations and environments. SMS-HRAK is a Customizable Movement Program designed to cater to your agency’s specific requirements.
Unexpected shifts in Priority focus will be instituted during validation exercises to ensure the ability to streamline decision-making is instilled. As in our full-spectrum SMS program, this course will cover key considerations, including inner room movement, entries, exits, transitional spaces, and terrain for HRAK responses. Effective communication is also integral to our training, with an emphasis on nonverbal techniques in both small- and large-cell deployments, and on adding clear, concise pro words as needed.
We consider our program one of the most cerebral systems in the training space, and we emphasize that it aligns with current law, policy, and ethics. The curriculum is presented in an unbiased manner following a linear progression to full validation scenarios. This is a mentally intensive course.
Operational Breaching Solutions (OBS)
For years, we have given tools to the biggest or strongest person in the room without ever providing proper context for how to use them. OBS does more than that: not only will we teach them how to use numerous methods of entry, but also when and why to use them, including tactical rams, halligans, pry tools, wedges, power tools, exothermic access, bypass methods, hydraulic tools, and more.
This 3-day (27 hours) or 4-day (36 hours) program provides foundational certification-level training that builds an in-depth understanding and enables the use of the most current and relevant breaching tools on the market today. From target assessment and identification, approach to the target, actions on the target, and even post-breach procedures, we take biomechanics, physics, proven operational context, and tech breaching to a whole new level.
While this program was designed for special operations personnel, we invite all those who need to know to attend to understand why this course is being recommended across the country.
Operational Breaching Solutions-Advanced (OBS-A)
Advanced Tactical Training: Safe Entry Techniques for Law Enforcement Officials. This comprehensive 30-hour program is designed to prepare you for complex situations involving challenging targets such as corporate buildings, hotels, jail cells, or walls without the use of energetic composition. The program explores various entry methods, including mechanical, exothermic, hydraulic, motorized, bypass, and specialty tools, offering a diverse range of options. With live buildings provided by the host agency, you will gain hands-on experience and training in handling life-and-death situations. We understand that not all departments or agencies possess energetic capabilities, so this program is tailored to help you increase your chances of success. The advanced program is geared toward experienced O.B.S. personnel with at least 3 years of field experience, as it focuses on advanced techniques.
Operational Energetic Applications (OEA)
If you are looking for the next level of energetic training, where live structures are blended with foundational information, and you can get exposure to real operational planning and mission-tempo energetic breaching, this is the program for you.
This 5-Day or 45-Hour program is ideal for intermediate to advanced-level students. While this program will teach new charges and more advanced techniques, it’s ultimately designed to enhance your mission capabilities in target identification, dealing with opposition under exigent conditions, using PRYME INFIL to control the area of operations, K9, Drone, and Robotics Integration. This program goes beyond the foundational layer of knowledge and truly tests and enhances the capabilities of an energetic breaching program. All of this while still maintaining a safe and controlled environment, in accordance with law, policy, and ethical considerations. This program is designed to truly test your ability to handle energetic breaching under hostage rescue or dynamic operations while using energetics.
MK7 / Breach Pop
Comprehensive Program on J&N Tactical MK7 Energetic Access Tool and P3D Energetic Containers. Join us for an 18-hour, two-day program that provides an in-depth understanding of the J&N Tactical MK7 Energetic Access Tool in conjunction with P3D Breach Pop’s energetic containers.
This program will cover the tool’s nomenclature, utilization, carriage methods, and safety considerations. You will also learn about deliberate and hasty placement drills. On day two, we will explore how to use Breach Pop #1-3 and multiple linear options to attack various types of residential doors.
Additionally, you will gain insights into the potential risks of introducing various types of pressure into exterior and interior environments. Guild Solutions Group is the exclusive training provider for both Breach Pop and MK7. Prior explosive breaching certification required
Foundational Energetic Breaching Applications (FEA)
We recognize there are options for energetic entry, and while they provide a solid curriculum, we also acknowledge the need for relevancy, especially regarding Law Enforcement requirements, where law, policy, and ethical considerations are always at the forefront of using energetic (explosive) breaching. Words mean things, and so does correct utilization and terminology. For years, we have adopted many military applications in this space, but this program breaks the mold and gives you the most current foundational knowledge available today, with practices rooted in operational experience in domestic operations.
This 5-Day or 45-Hour program offers a detailed exploration of energetic access for beginners and intermediates, providing a foundational certification. Participants will learn industry best practices in charge selection, target analysis, program establishment, and maintenance. Words like “for plenty” are not acceptable in modern energetic breaching, and we show you how and why.
Energetic Continuing Education (ECE)
For years, we have fallen into the ideology that “recertifications” from one company are required by law. While they may be written into SOPs, the spirit of the law of Canton v. Harris or deliberate indifference is a failure to train, and a part of that training is diversifying your training knowledge to ensure you have the best practices available. We at the Guild understand that our courses must evolve just as technology, law, and modern practices evolve. This is why we offer a continuing education program that accepts any reputable school’s foundational certification. This program overlaps with our Foundational Energetic Applications program on days 3 and 4.
We often quote, “We are not here to re-invent the wheel; we are here to make the wheel better and for you to get more life out of it.” If you have a certification and want to expand your knowledge base, we encourage you to check out our continuing education, which is more than a money grab but a way to enhance your foundational-to-intermediate knowledge base.
California Blasters License
If you live in California and want to ensure your program is compliant at all levels, we recommend taking the virtual or in-person training to obtain your California Blasters License.
This program provides all the necessary tools to help you pass your blasters exam, either virtually or, if you want hands-on training and education, through a 2-Day in-person training event that combines classroom instruction and practical experience. This program will provide you with an overview of the ATF, state, and local regulations pertaining to California blasters. It will guide you through an in-depth explanation of the DIR General Safety Orders and terminology, explosive storage, and the CAL-OSHA DIR test.
Operational Breaching Solutions-Instructor (OBS-I)
The Operational Breaching Solutions – Instructor program expands upon our OBS curriculum and other recognized courses that delve deeply into both manual and ballistic breaching tools. It emphasizes not only the practical use of these tools but also their technical details and limitations. This program goes beyond the “how” to explore the “why,” fostering others’ development.
This 35-hour, 4-day program is recommended for personnel with at least 3 years of breaching experience prior to attending, but attendance is not required. This program is tailored for those looking to deepen their understanding of establishing or directing a breaching program within a unit or agency. It is not merely a certificate-earning course; it will challenge you and reward you with significant knowledge. You will explore nuances beyond basic knowledge, enabling you to use the tools responsibly, legally, and ethically.
Situational Movement Solutions-Instructor (SMS-I)
We believe that being an instructor is more than holding a certificate; it’s about
understanding knowledge with nuance and the context behind the principles and
methodology. Our S.M.S. Instructor program is designed for students who have attended the S.M.S. program (only) and show proficiency not only in conducting but also in delivering the information as professional facilitators of development.
This 35-hour program spans four days and delivers comprehensive training in safe, effective movement techniques using modern, tested methods. This is a fundamental and logic-based program grounded in law, policy, and ethics. Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of priorities, intentions, and actions, including inner-room movement, life priorities, low-light/no-light considerations, structure dominance, terrain considerations, verbal and non-verbal communication, and the incorporation of transitional spaces.
Instructional Development Solutions (IDS)
Many First Responders and Military members possess numerous skills, but their ability to communicate them is often overlooked. No matter how skilled a person is, we believe we should be equally skilled in preparation, presentation, and documentation. This program has already been described as “life-changing” by students who have attended, as it uses adult learning strategies from the professional education world that are often missing in the tactical space.
This 27-hour or 3-day program will equip participants with the skills to communicate confidently, maintain records, and exude the charisma of a proficient speaker, a crucial asset in law enforcement. While tactical abilities are important, effective communication is equally necessary. This program will truly push the boundaries of speaking and planning, including Lesson Plan Creations and much more.
We believe this program sets the standard, and we invite law-abiding citizens with a heart to be better facilitators of development to attend.
Ballistic Breaching Instructor (BBI)
Many misconceptions and misinformations have often been accompanied by ballistic breaches due to legal actions against agencies. This program addresses these actions by not only teaching current, safe practices but also explaining why we use them, so your agency can provide sufficient information should legal action ever arise. While corrective actions are important, we will also teach them to deliver information effectively using adult learning strategies used by professionals across all industries.
This 3-Day or 27-Hour program stands out from others in that we created a fully comprehensive program that walks through target assessment, ballistic actions, door nomenclature, types of rounds to use or not use, correct angles, law, policy, and ethical considerations. Each instructor will create and deliver their own presentation to ensure they truly are instructors, not just course graduates.
Law Enforcement Advancement, Development, and Resiliency (LEAD-R)
Leadership is more than handing out orders. In a time when most effort is focused on our external skill sets, our ability to stay on mission while considering our coworkers’ unique personalities is more important than ever. Our internal landscapes are often neglected until they reach a state of disrepair. This course is built upon our Resilient Individuals Strengthen Environments (R.I.S.E.) curriculum and emphasizes that our personal and collective resilience forms the basis of our performance in all arenas.
This single-day, 8-hour course is designed to provide introspection and actionable items for leaders to implement to build personal resilience, advancement, and development in ways that carry over to team and family environments. Attendees will participate in multiple individual and team exercises throughout the program, designed to remind us of our paths and to foster a renewed perspective on how to address the difficulties we face, both personally and operationally. An established framework for making critical decisions under stress, grounded in law, policy, and ethics, will be presented and demonstrated during course breakouts.
Integrated Leadership Solutions (ILS)
This leadership program is designed to truly prepare and equip frontline supervisors with the tools they need to succeed and remain successful throughout their careers. Designed by career law enforcement professionals with large metropolitan agencies who have lived this life and risen through the ranks while still maintaining respect from those they lead and the leaders above them.
This program is 3 days (27 hours) and will take an in-depth look at task organization, fusion leadership models, avoiding legal pitfalls, full-immersion training vignettes, tiered, complex training, training and equipment requirements, and after-action review. This program is designed with experience and lessons learned from across the entire country. We believe it will set the standard for continuing education in law enforcement nationwide.
